Oh, Dad

Dreamer, boxer, soldier, delivery truck driver, husband, daddy, salesman, supervisor, small business owner, entrepreneur, talker, joker, teaser, Pop, hunter, boater, fisherman, achiever, provider, supporter, cheerleader.

There are so many stories I could tell about him, but I’ll just share one today, the first anniversary of his death.

Much to the chagrin of my sisters and I, he thoroughly enjoyed teasing us, even moreso if there was an audience. A few times, upon meeting a new date, he’d ask, “So, you’re going to the movies?” Regardless of the response he received, my dad would say, “Because she’s been picking her seat all day!” Oh, dad.

Writing is one of my passions. Most blog entries are relatively short articles regarding a wide variety of topics. I'm a middle-aged wife and mother of two adult sons. I've been a teacher, counselor, medical transcriptionist, student teacher supervisor, substitute teacher and retail clerk. Staying home now due to fibromyalgia. Seeking purpose.
